Upper Limit

Upper limit problems is a thing that can hold us back from our full potential.
I mentioned in an earlier blog that I recently took the "big leap". I noticed an interesting thing post leaping that caught my curiosity and peaked my interest to do some research in the area of moving beyond our comfort levels. What I noticed for myself is the decision to leap was the doorway that opened up a lot of thinking noise to the past and why I should keep things as they are or within my comfort level. As I stretched beyond it seemed to open a can of worms of negative thoughts, fears, beliefs and such that raced to the surface and likely would keep me stuck in what was a little longer, if I had allowed the voices to win or keep me in my comfort zone.
It fascinated me! I had been building this dream (this leap) for 23 years. Of course I was excited to witness it coming into being. Of course I was excited. Of course I was saying yes. But what I didn't expect was the back wash of noise that played in the background that had the potential to make me doubt the potential unfolding.
I had to make a choice. I had to be willing to ignore the noise. I had to be willing to tune into Spirit more than ever. I had to be willing to feel the feels, look at the doubts and fears and quiet the roar from winning and pulling me back. Logically I knew there was no truth in the noise.
Have you heard the story of the 2 wolves? A grandfather shared with his grandson the story of the 2 wolf we all have on our shoulders. The white wolf is constructive tendencies, positive, uplifting, supportive. The black wolf is destructive tendencies, greed, jealousy, anger, fear. The little boy asked his grandfather which wolf wins? The grandfather replied, The one you feed.
Which wolf do you feed? For me I am diligent about living aware and moving from constructive tendencies. The moment I forget and move out of integrity I know it as I can feel the ripple of destructive thoughts, words or deeds immediately thought out my systems.
The noise that occurred with the big leap felt the same way as destructive tendencies. It felt off and out of alignment with my higher being. Awareness is the key that allows us to call BS on our own BS.
I love that I got to experience this for myself. I've acquired yet another tool that allows me to support others in their big and little leaps in life.
Life friends is a journey, not a destination. Learning to enjoy the ride by being the conscious creator of our experience makes for a joyful journey indeed! I invite you to give up needing to get from point A to point B in a hurry. Take the winding road or the straight and narrow path. Follow the one that calls most to you. Take it with your eyes and heart wide open! Don't blink or you will miss the miraculous moments hiding behind every turn.
Peace
